221 Single Engine Remote Control

The 221 Remote with tiller steering and single engine control is specifically designed for use with the ComNav Marine 1001, 1101, 1201, 2001 and 5001 Autopilots and compatible electronic engine control systems. The 221 allows the vessel operator to control the ComNav Autopilot and a compatible electronic engine control system from a work station, or flying bridge.

The 221 Remote Control combines all the functions available on the ComNav 211 Remote and compatible electronic engine controls. The 221 Remote can be used to select standby, tiller steering, pilot, or nav modes, plus the dodge and U-turn functions. The type of U-turn on the autopilot can also be selected or changed from this remote. The course memory feature allows the user to switch to power steer or standby and still return to the previously set course. As well, the 221 can be used to control the gear and throttles of a single engine vessels' electronic engine controls. The Standby mode is a safety feature that allows the remote station to deactivate the autopilot drive set and to revert to manual steering. The push buttons can be used for setting the course, dodging, or initiating one of the special turns. The LCD displays the course, or compass reading. In tiller mode the vessel's rudder directly follows the position of the remote control lever.

The 221 also features a safety lanyard which must be worn over the wrist of the user. If the user becomes separated from the remote for any reason, the lanyard will detach from the remote and immediately shift the engines to idle and the gear to neutral.

Highlights of the 221 remote include:

Large LCD display back lit for nighttime viewing

Watertight; all openings are sealed

High impact resistant Minlon case

Positive response engine control knob

60 foot standard length cable c/w distribution box
